The Real Revolution

It is a revolution in the way of thinking, behavior, conduct. What place has knowledge in that? We are just scratching on surface. There must be change in structure and nature of thought. It is the human change that will transform the society. Without changing human society it is not possible to change the society because it is the brutal, ambitious, violent, greedy, petty human beings that created the society. Change in the outer structure of society does not bring revolution,  The inner is the outer, human being is the whole, he is the society, he is the factor which brings about chaos. He is the world and the world is he, if he changes everything changes. “Me” is the world and the world is “me”. You are the result of culture and that culture produced this rotten, immoral world. Is it possible for human being to get transformed inwardly therefore outwardly? Where there is a division there is conflict.

Introduction to Self-inquiry

Even very sincere truth seekers believe that self-inquiry means holding on to “awareness” as much as possible in the day which they believe transforms present way of life which is bringing chaos both internally and externally which is quite obvious. But on the contrary unless we see the dangers involved in self-centered activity which isolates us from the rest of existence we cannot maintain awareness during the day. Self-centered activity is a product of unawareness of disastrous consequences it brings to individual and society. In this book an attempt is made to see the disastrous consequences of self-centered activity. The degenerating factors of pleasure, desire, fear, loneliness, ambition, are dealt with. Every religion tried to comfort the human being by giving them some explanations and beliefs but they will not solve our life problems. We can do self-inquiry with a still mind, not with the mind that is occupied. To have a still mind we must understand the whole of living, then only there is the cessation of thought and we can do self-inquiry when there is cessation of thought. One has to understand for himself about these problems by facing them and doing self-inquiry. If we really see the danger involved in them we will keep away from them and we lead completely different way of life which always leads us to joy.
